the Austin race in December seems to be new. The one most people are familiar with is in February. That said, Austin is a great place to vacation.
If they haven't capped out, Dallas White Rock was well organized both times I ran it. I also have fond memories of Jacksonville a little bit later in December. If you like smaller marathons, think seriously about Jacksonville. It is a very flat course and a bit off the normal tourist map, but I liked it.
