Ok, it weighs a touch more than my ironman, but not much. It does not feel that much different but I don't have a gram scale. It has never bothered my wrist at all. As for size, I checked it out and as long as your wrist is not smaller than a broomstick, you should be alright. Basically, it has holes up to the very end of the band.
As for the calibration, it took me about 4 1/2 mile (average running pace) repeats to get it down perfect. It is specific to the user. However, you can calibrate it and find out your values (you can see what they are on the watch) and then your husband could do the same. Then when either of you wanted to use it, you could adjust it to your values in about 30 seconds. It would be that simple.
Other cool features include setting pace ranges that beep when you fall out of the range and the ability to do repeats of any distance without a track.
Throw more questions at me, I kind of like helping out. Oh, and no I am not a salesman for Fitsense.
