Chris, I don't want to start anything here, down in Shangrila, but I didn't see it that way. Maybe I should look it up, but I'll speak from impressions and memory. Observer came on rather refreshingly - I did enjoy her first interventions (even though I did not know then that she was a woman - something that later came out as an important factor to fully understand and appreciate). But people jumped on her so abruptly and so uncharacteristically (it looked so unanimous too, and I couldn't understand that - I would have intervened but it happened Up There where my opinion does not belong). I was so intrigued - why? What buttons were touched? And not a single woman got involved (and I thought 'it could be because they agree in some ways with what she says'). And then, she said something like 'screw it, I'm outta here' and people applauded that ("good riddance" seemed to be the reaction, and that was fair - it was getting ugly). But even now, she is being baited - and how many days now has she been away?
Maybe she was abrasive. Maybe she was just looking for a fight (although it didn't seem that way at first). But still, the reaction was so fierce (and at times seemingly unfair) that I've been wondering ever since about it.
Maybe I've been had. But still.
