I am wondering if you are supposed to lift weights with your legs as part of marathon training. I have been running for a couple of years casually. This is my first time training for a marathon. I lift weights but usually not with my legs.
I actually did start some leg weight lifting exercises about a month ago, and doing one of first mid runs of 6 miles today my legs felt great and I think its because the weight lifting.
Would it be alright or even beneficial to continue to do leg weights as part of my training?
I don't see any talk about it on my sites.
