Potential record breakers will now head elsewhere

I think the IAAF got it wrong and it has doomed the Boston marathon unless it changes its course—not likely to happen. Why run Boston if you can't officially break the record? The speedsters will head to Chicago—a course much easier—and to other locales if they think they've got a good chance of breaking a WR. It makes zero sense to me. Either the governing board will change their minds/standards, the course will change, or enough people out there are going to raise a ruckus to overturn or get past this nonsense. The WR was broken, LEGITIMATELY, in Boston—no other way to call it.
