The fall is already a busy season here in New England — with the BAA half-marathon in October, the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund walk (on the actual route from Hopkinton), in addition to established marathons in Lowell, Portland, Hartford, Newport, Bar Harbour, and Falmouth.
As for the issue of Boston selling out in a matter of hours, the BAA has already addressed that. Rolling changes are scheduled to go into effect over the next 2 calendar years.
