I guess I shouldn't have mentioned the treatment before finding out if you had the main physical indicator - soft swelling directly behind the knee. I'm not needle shy - have had it 2x now - so I forget others might be. Sorry!
The treatment is not as bad as it sounds - after the fluid is asperated, just a perscription of low level activity for a couple of days with OTC anti-inflammatories. Although I did get grief from a PT friend of mine when I told her about the cortisone - definitely considered the "devil's tool" by many in her field.
Glad to hear your knee is much better - you'll be more than ready for Big Sur.
