If you're all all thinking about a fall 2011 race Chicago and Marine Corps (Washington, DC) would be very good choices. For a 5:30 runner you'll have plenty of others around you throughout the race of similar ability. However, I have a feeling that Chicago could be sold out within the next 2 weeks, so you'd have to hustle your entry for that one. Done them both... I think I like MCM a bit more, because it's later in the fall, and the course passes so many awesome landmarks.
