It's coined the most beautiful urban marathon. I live here and have run it 4 times. Minnesota is perfect in the summer and this course is amazing.
Spectators line the course from start to finish. Again, the course highlights the amazing running paths around 4 good-size urban lakes as well as both sides of the Mississippi River valley. The last 6 or so miles are on a divided parkway lined with old school mansions with thousands of people lining the streets. You will not be disappointed with this event. Good luck.
