So you're about to attempt something that only about 0.5% of the people in the world do for the first time and you're a bit anxious. Sounds reasonable to me.
If you got a 16 mile run under your belt with seven weeks left on the Higdon Novice plan it looks to me like you are dead on target. I used the Higdon Novice plan 3 years ago to run my first marathon, so I can tell you from experience that it will get you to the point that you can finish a marathon. Just stick with the rest of the schedule and you'll be fine.
Also know that you're way ahead of me in terms of race experience heading into your first attempt at 26.2. The longest race I'd ever run was a 10K and that was 27 years prior to my first marathon.
You will need to be focused on pace, nutrition and hydration during the race, but don't let your focus on those things keep you from drinking in the total experience of your first marathon. It is one of the neatest things you will ever do. Good Luck and please post your post race thoughts about the experience.
