That's not a bad idea -- I just talked with one of my friends who is doing the "out and back" with H and me. She said that (a) I should be sure that H gets his OWN bottle at the finish line (then I'm not responsible for hydrating both of us -- fine for the first bit when there are water stops, but on the way back, "everyone for himself")
She said that there is water at the scenic overlooks at either end of the bridge (and, she believes, potty stops). But the idea of asking the volunteers if they would leave some water "behind" is a good one as well.
Boy am I glad you said something. You're an angel.
(It's supposed to rain that day, so I don't think that we will have the "hot day hydration" problems -- at least that's good.)
