Uta Pippig is the first woman to win the Boston Marathon three consecutive times (1994-1996). She also won the New York City Marathon once (1993), and she represented Germany in the 1992 and 1996 Olympics. Uta and I chatted on the phone for almost two hours and discussed her major marathon victories, her training and development as a top runner and her background growing up as a child behind the 'Iron Curtain' in East Germany along with many other topics. She also clued us in on 'Inside Stuff' such as her running heroes, favorite books and most embarrassing moments. The entire interview is at http://www.garycohenrunning.com/Interviews/Pippig.aspx. Enjoy!!!
