I have not used it- but it seems to be YOU PUT in your stride and it "figures out" how far you have gone. But when you are running stride and pace changes often so I would doubt that it can be very accurate. I have a Garman Forerunner® 310XT (a bit $$) - it is AMAZING! Tracks miles, pace, elevation, (some do heart rate if you get that extra-I do NOT do heart rate). THE GPS watches these days are better, smaller and less $$ than in the past. Worth looking into.
