I really want to run a Marathon. I have run off and on my whole adult life, but have been fully committed the past 2 years running 5k's and one 10k. I am not a fast runner (11 minute mile). I want to run a Marathon, but don't feel that I have the time to commit to the long training runs. I mainly run 5 miles at a time, due to time constraints.
1. Is it possible to run a Marathon w/o the long training runs? 2. Is it acceptable to walk during a Marathon?
Any advice would be helpful.
