Ok so I finnaly got the courage to start training for a marathon, I just started running this year so of course I gave myself alot of time to prepare 9 months actually. My stratedgy is to run 2 miles, tuesday through fridays. At most I would exchange one short run a week for some crosss training (swimming and biking). and for saturday i would rest and do alot of stretching to prepare for a long run on sunday which will start out at 4 miles ( 4 miles is not a long run i know but i have 9 months to get it up to 22 miles which is pretty decent.) and on monday I would rest with some stretching.
