LOW GLYCOGEN STORE?

Creston,

I've never really experienced pains during my runs, but I did experience similar symptoms in the past following longer runs. I would drink gatorade during the run and use gels consistently throughout...but never really consumed anything immediately following. Ever since I added a snack immediately following...I haven't had the problem.

I believe my glycogen stores got so low...it upset my stomach. Have you tried eating quality carbs about 2 hrs prior to your long runs?

Best of luck and no worries...you'll find out what works for you.
