"Most races begin at the dawn's early light, but Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas is
special with the event starting on the Strip as the sun is setting," said
Kevin LaRue, Event Manager of Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas. "The weekend
experience provides participants with a world-class running event coupled
with exclusive access to some of the top nightlife venues, dining, and live
entertainment in Las Vegas."

new Rock 'n' Roll 5k running down the Las Vegas Strip on Saturday night.
Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas welcomed participants from all 50 states and 66
countries, filling 104,449 hotel room nights over event weekend according
to a study conducted by the San Diego State University (SDSU) Sports MBA
program.

The half-marathon alone saw finishers grow from 20,566 in 2013 to 25,168 in
2014, an increase of 4,602 or 22 percent which is the largest for any
13.1-mile event according to Race Results Weekly. Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas
is now the third largest half-marathon event in the United States.

The marathon and half-marathon start at 4:30pm, running from the iconic

"I think it is amazing," said Erica Bowie, who came from Nova Scotia,
Canada last year to tour the 13.1-mile course. "You've got all the lights.
The streets are lined with people. Having music was definitely a boost
along the way. An awesome experience."

"It was everything," said Dana Caple, who traveled to Las Vegas last year
from Wales, UK. "It was people lining the streets. People clapping. The
music. The flat surface. And I have never run a race at night. What a
treat."
